We know only too well what it feels like when your child is having difficulty communicating and speaking, this is something we all take for granted but there are so many children who are non verbal and children who are having problems communicating and expressing there emotions. 

So many children that think and act differently compared to children their same age, so many children that just look and process things differently due to autism. There are so many spectrums and areas to autism it’s difficult to pin point which one your child fits in to begin a process of getting help.

Once referred these children including my own are waiting over a year in some cases up to 5 years to receive help.

Even though the system is slowly getting better we are now finally going through the process. it’s taken along time to get started and without the help of our school and his teachers we would be lost.

Funding is difficult for my local community hub and unfortunately it closed down due to lack of funding, if this was open myself and my family would be able to use this youth club to allow children like Jacob to play and socialise with other children going through similar issues.

Including parents for us to use the centre as a network  to discuss our concerns with other families and ask for advice and help on dealing with the daily struggles we face.

my target is to raise enough funds so other families have the support that we haven’t been able to access to help guide them through diagnosis.

Please give anything you can no matter how small to help children that need this support just to get through every day life, I feel like it will make a massive difference to these children, we can't sit around and wait for our system or services to improve we have to take action and help each other, support each other and make life easier for families and children who need support.
