Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In the expected chill of late November (though on current weather, who knows) I'll be joining business leaders to spend the night sleeping under the stars to raise awareness for the plight of homeless people in London.
I'm sure we've all walked back to the station of an evening through London's streets and felt a pang of guilt about that person sleeping in the doorway. This is an opportunity to give them some meaningful help.
Of course, one night isn't a great hardship and I know that in the morning I can look forward to a hot coffee and a good breakfast. But I'm certain it won't be the most comfortable of nights. Even if you just donate the equivalent of the coffee I'm sure you'd buy me if you really did see me sleeping rough, it will go to a great cause.
To do a little to support some of the organisations helping homeless people get back on their feet I'll be sleeping out for a night a Lords Cricket Ground. I've spent many enjoyable days there but I'm not sure a night is going to be quite as fun.
The charity helps those facing homelessness to overcome barriers to employment and find career opportunities within the hospitality industry.
Any donation you make will go towards their work helping rough sleepers and those without a permanent home.
Thank you!
