We fund long-term, sustainable research to find a cure for brain tumours

Story

In September 2012 my good friend Sarah sadly lost her battle with her brain tumour. In her memory, I am committed to running the Great South Run Half Marathon to raise money for the worthy cause of Brain Tumour UK, in the hope that money spent on further research into this condition will help to others survive it. Sarah was a great friend, as well as a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister and cousin, and was loved by everyone who met her. It is also no coincidence that I turned 40 in the last 12months, and as many of you will know have given up alcohol, so this seemed a perfect way to pay tribute to Sarah and embed my new lifestyle at the same time (and make sure I could still do it, even at my age!) Please sponsor me to raise as much as I can for this worthy cause.... even £1 will help. Please feel free to forward this onto your friends too. Thank you! James.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
