HG/FIT's members will be taking part in an EHOH (Every Hour On the Hour) - Running or Walking - 2km every hour for 24 hours. 48km or just under 30 miles through night and day, this will be both a physical and mental challenge.
Our PURPOSE is to get everyone outside training during January to keep fit, stay moving, improving both their physical and mental well being and at the same time to raise as much money as possible.
We are aiming to raise at least £250 for the SMART Prebend Centre which provides facilities, support and guidance to relieve rough sleeping and to prevent further homelessness in Bedford.
Their day centre is open every day of the year, supporting those who sleep rough, are vulnerably housed and often face issues around social isolation and exclusion. It is funded entirely on charitable donations and grants and the support of the local community; it is a place of safety, meeting the basic needs of providing food, warmth, water, a place to get clean and rest.
