Story

I'm running my first Ultra Marathon on July 9th and 10th. I've decided to use the opportunity to raise money for Southmead Hospital Charity for a couple of reasons. Firstly, my sister was treated by the specialist spinal team at Southmead, who’s skill and expertise meant she had successful complex surgery and she lives a fully active life. Secondly my wife works in the Acute Medical Unit and like all our NHS staff has worked tirelessly through the pandemic, giving to this charity is my way of trying to give something back to our NHS, something we should all be grateful for. Most of us have or will need to use the NHS and Southmead Hospital does great work helping families, patients and staff. Please feel to donate or not, I'm not running with a charity place so any funds I raise will be a bonus.
