Event: NWM x TRIBE Fitness & Fundraising Event 2020, from 13 July 2020 to 17 July 2020
Participants: James Rule, Greg Butcher & Simon Matthews
This summer, we're bringing TRIBE & NWM Finance together again for a team fundraising & fitness challenge to fight modern slavery. As teams or individually we will each tackle the distance of London to Brighton (60 miles / 100 km) from 13-17th July!

Story

So normally in the middle of June, we have an annual charity bike ride down to Brighton to raise money for Tribe.  Covid19 has obviously put a stop to that but not to be put off, we are setting our own challenges to  cycle / run / walk our own routes to continue the fund raising for this great cause!

Greg and Simon were keen to get involved so we've come up with a slightly mad idea of riding "Coast to Coast" from Brightlingsea in Essex to Hunstanton in Norfolk and then back again which will be 200+ miles!

Obviously a lot of people are trying to raise funds for charities at the moment but if you are able to make a donation for this great cause it would be really appreciated!  This is the furthest any of us have attempted to cycle so won't be easy !

Thanks

TRIBE Freedom Foundation is on a mission to fight modern slavery and end human trafficking. We work by raising awareness of trafficking, supporting survivors and enabling frontline projects to prevent modern slavery. We empower communities to create an impact. In 2020, we are working on two new key projects, to help prevent modern slavery and provide long term support for survivors. However, the current crisis is creating serious challenges for all charities and has undoubtedly had a significant impact on TRIBE Freedom Foundation. Over 82% of our income comes from community fundraising and events, all of which have now been cancelled for the foreseeable future. Now, more than ever, the pandemic is putting more adults and children who are already in, or vulnerable to modern slavery, at even higher risk of exploitation, so your support could not be more important.
