Worldwide, the prevalence of Cancer and Heart disease is on the increase affecting the lives of millions of people both directly and indirectly. 2014 is a poignant time for our family as we remember two very special people. The 10 of March marks the 30 anniversary of my papa Jimmy’s death from a heart attack at just 49 years old and the 12 of June marks the 1 anniversary of my nana Teenie’s death from Cancer.

 

In their memory, I have decided to take part in the Edinburgh Half Marathon on the 25 of May. I hope to raise as much money as possible for this event which will be split equally between the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK. Every penny counts.
