Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you will know, last year I ran the Reading Half Marathon (in just a smidgin under 1hr 40mins!) and raised about £500 for Winston's Wish - which is fantastic!

Fantastic maybe - but not enough! So this year, I though 'whats harder than running half a marathon...? Why, running a whole one of course!' As such, I duely entered Brighton Marathon which will take place on 15th April 2012. At the time of writing (8th Dec) it is a little over 18 weeks away, so I suppose I ought to think about training at some point - as well as raising those precious pennies for Winstons Wish!

To quote their website, "Winston's Wish is the leading childhood bereavement charity and the largest provider of services to bereaved children, young people and their families in the UKWe offer practical support and guidance to families, professionals and anyone concerned about a grieving child. We believe that the right support at the right time can enable young people to live with their grief and rebuild positive futures." As most of you will know, I lost my mother when I was 14, so I have first-hand experience of how difficult such situations are.

Please, please dig deep for this amazing charity - I know that every penny will really help a young person to re-build their life. I'm sure that it will also help me push through the pain-barrier at 22miles - so if not for the charity, do it for the sadist in you!
