I ran the London marathon for the first time last year for the Haven House Children’s Hospice. After vowing never to do it again I managed to secure a place in the ballot for this year, so here we go again! 

A lovely guy and an amazing runner sadly passed away suddenly last year. Although I didn’t know Henry really well, we were introduced by a mutual friend and I’d met him a number of times over the years.  We’d more recently connected and shared encouragement ahead of the London Marathon last year.  From the handful of times we met and the stories told by our mutual friend, I knew he was a warm, kind and generous person.. I’ll be thinking of Henry and his loved ones as I run the course. I’d like to raise some money for the charity his family have decided to support.
