As one of BPS's chosen charities, the whole team are delighted to be supporting this amazing St Barnabas Hospice event, as well our two totally bonkers teammates James Pickles and Victoria Campling. Thank you both for stepping up to the challenge, we wish masses of luck!

From James - "For those of you who know me, then you will know that I am not a thrill seeker, personally I couldn’t think of much worse than going to a theme park for the day, so I don’t quite know why I’ve signed myself up for doing a wing walk! Actually, I do…………………………

Having lost my Uncle last year, and one of my best friends losing his mum nearly two years ago, I know first-hand what amazing work hospices do, as both of them spent their last days in them, one in Leeds and one in Carlisle.

I know times are hard with the ever increasing cost of living, but I urge you to dig deep and spare what you can.

This will help future families in my local city of Lincoln know that their loved ones are being looked after in the best possible way at their time of need."

From Victoria - "Having worked in care myself, and also seeing it from the outside as a family member, I’ve seen firsthand how difficult the job can be, but also how rewarding it is to care for those who once cared for us. 

The profession is forever changing, but the one constant is the people willing to care for everyone who comes through the door as if they were part of their own family. That’s something we all wish for our loved ones who may need it one day. 

Supporting us through this event will help the team at St Barnabas Hospice continue to provide the amazing care they do."

By way of example, every £14.02 raised will enable St Barnabas to provide one hour of specialist at-home care to a patient living with a life-limiting or terminal illness.
