Story
As many of you will know, I try to do one 'event' each year to raise funds for Changing Faces, the charity I set up in 1992 and now direct. This year is different to anything I have done before!
On 12th July 2009, I am starting out with Christine Muskett on her Land's End to John O'Groats odyssey - and I am aiming to cycle 70 miles in one day with her to Wadebridge. That's nearly 3 times a marathon and there's rather a lot of uphill stretches, I gather! A very pleasant change from London street-cycling though...
Christine is our Head of Operational Support and has been in deep training - you can find out more on www.justgiving.com/christinebike2009.
I am aiming to add to her great total - already over £3,000 - so please give as generously as you can... Every pound helps us to create a better and fairer future for people with disfigurements - through our empowering services for those who contact us, through our advocacy and training of professionals, and our campaign for face equality. You can find out more from www.changingfaces.org.uk.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH INDEED...
Please note: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
