Story
I am 50 this year (James, not Tom just yet, but soon!) and to celebrate this milestone I decided I wanted to run the iconic London marathon and raise money for charity. My close friend and regular running buddy Tom has decided to run with me and so here we are training hard and looking forward to the big day.
The London marathon is a huge charity event and we wanted to run in aid of a children's charity. We approached Hope for Children and were lucky enough to get places so a huge thank you to them. They are a small international charity and donations make a huge difference to them and in turn, they can make a real difference to the children and families they help. Their desire is to help children around the world to have a happy, healthy and positive childhood. Almost half the world's children live in extreme poverty and Hope for Children is helping to change this by delivering education, health, livelihoods and Child Rights projects that benefit thousands of children and families each year.
If you happen to be in London on Sunday 2nd October, feel free to join our team of supporters cheering us on at a leg-wobbly mile 24.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks!
