Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I ran the Bupa Great Manchester Run today (May 16th 2010) and I am still hoping to raise as much money as possible for The National Autistic Society . Although I've completed the race, I'm still a little way of my fundraising target - so if you haven't already donated please do so (it's not too late, and it will really mean alot to me). I ran a PB today in the race (34 mins, 59 sec) and came 61st out of a field of 36,000 (and 5th in my age category!!). Really, really pleased! It was a truly amazing event with loads of fantastic friendly people also running for lots of great causes, including a team from work featuring "Marie". I was lucky enough to start a few rows back from Haile Gebrselassie!
As some of you may know, our son Joe is affected by Autism. As a family we have had support from the National Autistic Society. My wife and I have both attended support courses for parents of children living with Autism. Your support would mean a lot to us as a family and your dosh would benefit other families affected by Autism.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Update: Many thanks for the generosity of those who have supported me so far. If you have not got around to donating yet (I realise that there are so many people requesting donations but even a small amount will make a difference), please help me achieve my target as my employer will consider matching any fund raising if I achieve a minimum of £400 sponsorship!
Many thanks to my work colleagues for their generosity in Sponsoring our team adding an additional £90 to my total. I'm almost at my total!
