On Tuesday 21st June I will travel from Scotland to Cornwall to cycle Lands End to John O'Groats. The conventional route is around 900 miles but I will taking scenic route along cycle paths and quiet roads adding an extra 300 miles to the route. I will be cycling solo carrying all my possessions in panniers and sleeping in a tent, cooking over a stove, camping where ever I find myself and accepting any hospitality when offered. Due to the added weight I have allocated three weeks to complete this.
The money raised is being donated to JENGA. JENGA works in Mbale, Uganda and in August I'll be flying over a volunteering in various projects within the community for 5 weeks. Mbale is in the Eastern region of Uganda which half of it's population are under the age of 16. All the money raised will go directly to the charity, whilst I'll be self funding my travel and other costs.
If folk are able to donate £1 for every mile I do that will make my target and give me incentive to carry on. If you are able to donate £2, £5, £10, £20 or whatever you can as it EXTREMELY appreciated!!
Thanks for reading this and please donate..
James
