Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I did it. I am now a member of the 10in10 club. What a great feeling. It was as hard as I thought it would be, but so satisfying .
Having run the London Marathon for the British Heart Foundation. And New York for Get Kids Going I wanted to do something more challenging. I have completed the last 2 Windermere Marathons and have been inspirerd by the wonderfull people at Brathay and especially the 10 in 10 challenge runners. After talking to some of the 10 in 10 runners while running, I plucked up the courage to enter and was amazed to be lucky enough to get a spot.
Jumping out of a plane at 15,000 feet strapped to a
guy with 1970's frizzy hair isn't as scarry as this. That was over in
less than 5 minutes, but the money we raise for Brathay hall will help
young people for years to come.
My company Northern Rail have kindly donated £500 toward my total, and colleagues at work have given £1818.50 with a further £460 pledged. My son's work collegue's have also donated £188
I did the London ultra 50k on February 13 and it went well, and will do the Jurassic coast 3 marathons in three days in March as part of my training. The London ultra went well, so I've now entered the Grantham ultra 29.3 miles back to back over the weekend of 6/7 March a total of 58.6 miles. Did Grantham & it went better than I hoped, now for 3 in a row.
