Story

Thank you for supporting my TCS London Marathon journey with the British Heart Foundation.

Some of you already know that while I was enjoying a beer with my close friend Andrew Niven in August 2021 he suffered a cardiac arrest and I had to perform CPR and use a defibrillator to stabilise his condition while we waited for the ambulance service to arrive.

Thankfully this was enough to save Andrew who has since had an internal defibrillated fitted and is back to his old self and keeping well.

With my wife Gillian and friend Karen who’s father suffered a similar incident a couple of months after Andrew’s, we decided we wanted to do something that would help raise awareness and vital fund's for the BHF.

I would like to ask as many of my  friends, family and work colleagues to support me in any way they can for this great cause.

With your donations, were raising money for one of the most exciting fields of research - regenerative medicine. We're aiming to fund breakthroughs and find cutting edge new treatments for people living with heart disease. The race is on to heal hearts together. Donations to my page will be sent directly to the British Heart Foundation in a fast and secure way.
