Story
This year, I'm finally taking on the London Marathon after being inspired to tackle the 26.2M for the PSP Association. You probably won't know what PSP is, I didn't until a little while ago, but now that I do know, I would like to help the charity - and the best way to do that is with money! PSP is a disease which affects the neurones in the brain. It starts a bit like Parkinson's Disease, then progresses a bit like Motor Neurone Disease. There is no cure at the moment. But there could be if we keep funding research. And, beyond the research, PSPA also supports people and their family with coping with the impact of such an aggressive disease.
Although I've played sport all my life, running on roads has not been high up on my agenda and this is a considerable challenge for both my body and mind. Fitting in time to run and finding the motivation isn't always easy - but that's part of the challenge. This is the first time I've taken on an event and asked for sponsorship, so, if you are able to, any money you are able to donate will make all the difference to me and to PSPA.
Thank you, James
More about PSPA:
PSPA is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of people living with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD). We provide information and support for people affected by PSP & CBD whilst funding research into the causes, treatment, and eventually a cure. Together we can stop PSP & CBD in their tracks.
