Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’m sure everyone has seen the horrific images on TV of the
Ukrainians fighting for their lives, and their country from the Russian
aggression.

The war Russia is waging against a free and democratic, sovereign
country, and the deaths of Ukrainian civilians is hard to watch.

However it is important that we all support our European neighbours in every way we can, whether that is donating excess clothes, food, medicines, and weapons to help Ukraine to defend itself from the Russian war machine, led by the absolute dickhead that is Putin!

I’m delighted that TRAIN have agreed to organise a day of
CrossFit day of Hero WODs on Good Friday to help raise funds for the Ukrainian people. The plan for the day is run 7 x Hero WODs (1 per hour) over 7 hours (7am – 2pm), that spell out our support for the Ukrainian people as outlined below:

The aim is to raise as much cash on the day as possible,
therefore members are asked to donate as much as possible to attend one or more Hero WODs on the day. Suggested donations are £5 per WOD, however feel free to dig deep and donate as much as you want. You can even ‘sponsor an athlete’ by donating £10 and nominating one of your friends (or enemies) to complete the WOD of your choice!!

It will also be open to non-members at normal drop in rate
of £10 per person, so make sure you invite your friends, families, neighbours, work colleagues, etc so that we can raise as much money as possible. For those wanting a challenge (Maddy), why don’t you raise money by getting sponsorship to complete all 7x WODs in the day??

Any bakers amongst the team…..please feel free to bake some
amazing cakes, so that we can sell a slice of happiness to keep people going across the day!

I hope that you can all free an hour or two to take part in a really worthwhile (and fun) day of Hero WODs, even if you are simply popping in to support others and eat some cake!!

Donations can be made on the day (charity box), and via
JustGiving. 100% of the funds will go to helping the Ukrainians,
helping to push back the unwanted Russian hostility, and protect Europe as we know it.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
