Story

Starting on 20th June 2022, John Connell, Gary Dunn, James Kelly, John McDonogh and Brian Temple are walking the 180 miles of St Cuthbert's Way and St Oswald's Way over 14 days, in memory of Izzy McEgan 20 and Owen Copland 21 who both sadly passed after bravely fighting cancer.

Izzy McEgan was diagnosed with 4 cell renal carcinoma during 2019 and sadly lost her battle against cancer  on 10th May 2020.

Owen Copland was diagnosed with Glioblastoma during 2019 and sadly lost his battle against cancer on 25th December 2021.

Both Izzy and Owen and their families received support, assistance, advice and therapies from Claire House during their respective illnesses.

The funds we raise during this walk will help Claire House develop their new hospice in West Derby Liverpool, providing support and assistance to children and their families during these difficult times.
