I am running the Great North Run for CAFOD, the official aid agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales. CAFOD's work spans four continents, providing immediate help to people suffering in emergencies like the war in Ukraine and the recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria as well as tackling the root causes of poverty and injustice like our broken food system, unfair economic systems and the devastating impact of climate change, all of which disproportionately affect the poor.

It's not fair and it's our job as the comparatively rich of this world to take action. Please be as generous as you can.
