Since the Covid-19 lockdown started I've been hosting a weekly Friday-night quiz on my Instagram page which has proved to be popular and in-demand. It's occurred to me that I should be using this platform as an opportunity to raise money for a worthy cause, and I've chosen Age UK as a charity I want to support. 

Age UK team are able to provide help to the elderly through food parcels and telephone calls to offer support and be a friendly and helpful voice at the end of the phone to those in need. 

These are unprecedented and uncertain times and this is an opportunity to be able to pull together to help those who need it. Here's what the money raised can do: - 

- £10 could enable a local Age UK to deliver services within communities such as a food parcel to an isolated older person. 

- £15 could pay to answer three calls to our advice line from vulnerable older people needing information and support on how to cope during this crisis.

- £20 could pay for two weekly befriending calls to self-isolated older people who have no one to turn to.

So I'm asking you, if you like taking part in the quiz and want to raise some money then  please donate by giving whatever you can afford and let's help support such an important an viable cause.
