Story
On the 17th of March 2023 my Father in law went for a routine blood test after feeling a bit under the weather, and within the same day was given the devastating news that he had Leukaemia.
He was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia and will be receiving chemotherapy for the rest of his life.
If it wasn’t for the research and medical advances then his prognosis and the way it affects his daily lifestyle could have been affected in a much more negative way.
It is not until things like this happen to your family that you realise how important life is. I therefore decided that I would try and do my bit for charity by raising money for Leukaemia UK. I am honoured to join their team and help raise money by running the London marathon 2024. As part of my commitment to them, I need to raise at least £2000.
This will not only benefit families that are going through this but also others that may be affected by a diagnosis in the future. So far his care has been fantastic and we praise everyone involved!
I would really appreciate any donation, no matter how big or small.
