Story
I am taking on the Thames Bridges Trek alongside my colleagues at Essenta Partners in aid of Borne. Borne is a medical research charity that funds research into premature birth, the leading cause of infant mortality in children under the age of five around the world today. The charity is one that's incredibly close to my heart. Our son Jack was born as a twin at 28 weeks weighing less than 2 pounds. Thanks to an incredible feat of endurance by his mum Catherine (whose waters broke at 22 weeks)and the miracles of modern medicine and some amazing care at Southampton and St Peters Hospitals Jack is a super healthy and successful 15 year old (and now already taller than his dad !). Tragically his twin Freya was less fortunate and we lost her after only a day. Having experienced both the crippling pain and joy in equal measure i'm delighted to be supporting such an important cause. I'm supporting Borne because every child should have the chance of a full and healthy life, unaffected by disability. Your donation will help Borne in their mission of ending premature birth, everywhere and forever.
