The Royal Parks is THE eco-friendly marathon. For the last 85 years, Diabetes UK has been at the forefront of diabetes research. We've discovered how to put type 2 diabetes into remission. And were working day in, day out to find a cure.

Story

I was inspired to run and raise money for Diabetes UK due to the strength and inspiration that my 10 year old daughter Alice has shown following her diagnosis of T1D just over 2 years ago.

I had very good intentions of hitting the sub 2 hour mark and then my back decided to give way during the initial training sessions. I searched high and low for a replacement similar to Mo Farah but ended up with Ahmed instead (who assures me that he is better).

In a nutshell this is an amazing charity (some deets below) and Ahmed needs lots of money to ensure it pushes him round the course.

Charity Deets - Did you know someone is diagnosed with diabetes every two minutes? As many as 4.8 million people are living with diabetes in the UK right now. So, I'm running towards a healthier me, and a better future for people living with diabetes. Support my challenge by hitting the donate button on my profile page.
