Great North Run 2016 · 11 September 2016 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last June my father and I cycled coast to coast to raise money to help COFEPOW commemorate the 70th Anniversary of VJ Day, the fall of Japan, which brought the end to the second world war.
COFEPOW have a building (at the national memorial arboretum) which aims to educate visitors of the building of the Burma Railway and also acts as a memorial to those that fell during the conflict.
The memorial centre has many computer generated displays to enhance the visitors experience.
Unfortunately most of the equipment is now 11 years old and desperately need replacing with new equipment.
Fund raising has begun but hopefully my participation in the Great North Run will help towards COFEPOW's aim of replacing the old computer and display equipment.
Please give generously.
