Story
Rescheduled event , was due to take place 11/04/20 but had to postpone due to Covid - New date is 12/09/20 . The Walk of Hope will start at Aj Bell Stadium home of Salford and end at Halliwell Jones Stadium home of Warrington Wolves A distance of just over 14 miles. The Walk is also to raise funds for MND ( separate just giving page) My father was not directly linked with St Ann’s but he went through the full care network before passing away from cancer in 2018. My friend Andrew Wilding has lost his father to cancer and we have grown a strong bond from this. Andy's dad, Frank, was under the care of St Ann's in Little Hulton for about 13 years. They provided everything information and guidance to a respite day each month. This may not sound a lot but it was special for him. Every single member of staff is friendly, caring and they simply can not do enough for the patients. At the end, my dad spent his last week as an inpatient and they did everything we could have asked. They were in the process of orgnaising a big TV for my dad to watch his beloved Salford in the Grand final from his bed, the day before he died. This Charity is so special and it is also a local one so needs support everyday to be able to carry on the amazing work. Thanks, Andy
