Story
In June 2020, my best mate Thomas was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer. Three years on, countless rounds of brutal chemo, radiotherapy, and experimental treatments later, he’s still fighting to be with his amazing wife, Ana, and two wonderful sons.
Rather than being beaten by it they’ve moved house and set up an aerial yoga business (Green and Blue Studios) which is starting to thrive.
Thomas and his family inspire me every day and I’d like to raise money for The Royal Marsden who continue to support them in his fight and give time and hope.
I would also like to do this for my dear friend and colleague, Carole, and in the memory of her husband Allen. Both treated by the Marsden in the past year during their recent battles with cancer whilst grieving the loss of their son Matthew. Carole’s positivity and perspective in the face of this is simply mind blowing and she now supports others who are grieving the loss of a child.
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
