Story
This year’s charity trek is to Nicaragua where we will be helping an impoverished village update its education & tourism facilities. Both of these are inadequate & in dire need of improvement to help secure a sustainable & prosperous future for the community. With help physical help from us trekkers & financial support from donations, we can ensure that we give the people of Rota a fair opportunity.
Springboard is providing the workforce which I am lucky to be a part of but we do need donations for materials & skilled labour.
I will be representing Compass Group on the 2023 trek in Nicaragua. My passion for the outdoors, charitable work, and new challenges have motivated me to undertake this project. I am seeking to raise funds in order to help pay for the building materials and skilled labour in the Rota Community Project.
A bit about Trek & Charity from Springboard
Whilst there, our trekkers will not only go outside of their comfort zone and take on the challenge of a 10-day hike over mountains and volcanoes but also support a community project to help the locals in the remote village of Rota.
Springboard are a key player in helping young, unemployed and disadvantaged people to access free employability and skills training, mentoring, advice, careers guidance, clothes for interviews and travel costs in order to help them get into a stable career within the hospitality, leisure and tourism sector.
I will personally be paying to offset all the carbon produced from my return flight. If you would like to help this project by donating, all of the money raised goes straight to the Rota Community Project, thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
