I am raising this money and raising awareness for the male cancer charity Orchid which is based in St Bartholomew's Hospital in London.  The majority of the money raised will go to the charity to support them in clinical and scientific medical research to ensure a better quality of life for all men affected by male specific cancers - testcicular, prostate and penile.  The remainder of the money will go towards funding a trip to Kilimanjaro next year carrying 35kg (70lbs).  Currently I am giving awareness talks in secondary schools across the North West to year 10 and 11 pupils about testicular cancer as this is the most common form of cancer in males between the age of 15 - 45 and have been accepting donations from schools in return.  I am also due to start delivering these talks in young offenders institudes and prison from December.  All of this work is purely voluntary and I work in close contact with the team at Orchid.  I have raised just over £1000 so far which has been encouraging but I know there is still a really long way to go so any donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference to my campaign.
