I am running the Vienna City Marathon on the 23rd April 2023 and I’m hoping to raise funds for this local charity. 

The charity has been of great support to our family ever since our 18 year old  daughter Nicole was diagnosed 4 years ago with having FND (Functional Neurological Disorder).  

The condition causes Nicole to suffer from seizures, tremors, drop attacks, speech impediments and she has also spent some time in a wheel chair after being left unable to walk. 

The charity has encouraged Nicole to set up a support group where other teenagers and young adults have came forward and they now realise that they are not suffering on their own and they are able to talk openly in a safe environment about their condition and how it effects both their physical and mental health. 

The charity currently does not have any premises but they are in the process of trying to acquire and secure premises where they can invite sufferers to meet with Psycologist’s  neurologists, physiotherapists and councillors. 

Hopefully any money I can raise by doing the marathon  will go a little way  to help with this process.
