Story
Working for Sue Ryder I have seen the amazing care and expertise that is provided there 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. I am running the Cheltenham Half Marathon for a 5th time because we need to ensure that this vital community resource is kept available to all those who need it. Everyone there is amazing, they all work so hard and are so dedicated to the patients and their families, from all the clinical staff to the caterers to the housekeeping team and everyone in between, they all go above and beyond for those that need Leckhampton Court's services. Even the maintenance team too bad either...
It costs around £5.1million a year to run Leckhampton Court Hospice. With all their events cancelled in 2020 as well as so many of their community fundraising initiatives and the prolonged closure of their 450 high street shops, your support would provide much needed resources to keep palliative end of life care available to those who need it. Care for a single patient costs £21 an hour and Leckhampton Court is the only Inpatient Unit in Gloucestershire providing specialist palliative care. They are also playing a vital role in the effort against COVID-19 and want to continue using their skills, expertise and experience to help in the months and years ahead and continue to relieve pressure on the NHS. We can't stop caring.
Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.
Anything support you can show will be gratefully appreciated and please feel free to share my page with your friends, family and colleagues. Thank you so much for your support!
