Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’m running the 2022 Sheffield half marathon to raise money for Jessops neonatal unit in Sheffield.

Our daughter Niah was born by emergency c-section in June 2019 and immediately it was clear she was poorly. Niah was transferred to the neonatal intensive care unit where she spent ten days on various machines and oxygen tanks, as her little lungs weren’t working properly. Thankfully, due to the incredible care of the staff at Jessops, Niah began to improve and we were lucky enough to get her home to her two brothers Rhys and Leo. Nearly three years on and Niah is a thriving, healthy little girl who effectively runs our house!

While at the unit we met many other families going through similar or much worse situations, 24 hours a day. The nurses, doctors and other staff at the unit are lifesavers and I wanted to try to give a bit back!

Thanks very much for all your generosity and support!

Cheers

James
