In a few weeks I will be running the Farnham Pilgrim’s Marathon and in doing so I would like to raise some money for Trailblazers. Trailblazers rebuilds young lives by mentoring youngsters prior to their release from youth offenders establishments. I have visited HMYOI Aylesbury and spoken to some of the young adults there and I can seem for myself that many of them have huge potential to contribute to society and are often locked up there in the first place due to awful starts in their lives, not of their own making. The reason I want to support Trailblazers is simple:

1. On average 56% of kids released from prison reoffend.

2. The reoffending rate for Trailblazers mentees is 18%

3. It costs £59k a year to lock up a child (not to mention the non-financial impact on them and society)

4. It costs £2,142 pa to mentor them.

Please help me raise £2,142.
