Story
Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page.
On the 16th April I will be running the Manchester Marathon in loving memory of my father-in-law, Kevin Hutchinson. Sadly in January we lost Kevin to Motor Neurone Disease and I want to do all I can to ensure that other families never have to suffer like we are.
Motor Neurone Disease (ALS) is a fatal, rapidly progressing, disease that affects the brain and spinal cord.
Any donation you can give will really help move towards a world without MND and will help people diagnosed with this disease.
£10 will provide a young person with our ‘So what is MND anyway?’ guide, helping them to better understand the disease.
£80 will buy software to enable someone to bank their own voice.
£100 funds laboratory equipment for two days’ vital research into finding the causes of MND.
£125 will buy a specialist communication app for smartphone or tablet.
£500 could go towards the cost of a ceiling hoist to help someone continue to live in their own home.
£1,000 will pay for detailed analysis of the DNA of someone with MND to help us better understand the causes of the disease.
If you’d like to learn more about MND you can visit the MNDA website at https://www.mndassociation.org/about-mnd/
Or follow the MNDA on instagram at https://instagram.com/mndassoc/
Thank you again for any donation, big or small, you can make.
