Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is James Christen and in September 2012 I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation.
Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest free-standing mountain in the world at 5,895 metres above sea level. The trek up the mountain will be not be easy, with challenges such as the climate changing rapidly and the thinning of the air, but it is still very achievable!
The Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) is dedicated to preventing Meningitis and Septicaemia and improving the survival rates and outcomes of those who do contract them.
Both Meningitis and Septicaemia are terrible diseases which can have life-long consequences if they are not caught early on. Another area the MRF invest heavily in is promoting education and awareness to reduce death and disability, and to give to support to those that are affected.
I am aiming to raise at least £2500, all of which will go to charity. So please donate any amount of money you can because it will all help.
I will also be doing events in person (such as a sponsored morphsuit collection in London, details to be confirmed) to try and raise the money. Also, if you are unwilling to donate online, talk to me in person or send me an email requesting my postal address!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks for reading, I will keep you posted!
