My name is James Caton and I am 11 years old.  The reason why I started this fundraising page is because I was inspired by one of the lost boys of South Sudan. This lost boy had to flee his family and village during the civil war, never to see them again. He traveled for months, watching many other children die of thirst in the raw heat. These boys traveled across South Sudan for months. They encountered many life-threatening events, only about 15 000 were able to survive. The lost boy I met was fortunate enough to meet his family 23 years later! His name was William and he came to my school as a class speaker.  I wish to help these people meet their basic needs by building wells to give people access to water.

Build a well in South Sudan for 1500 people

Water for Sudan, Inc. will build a well with hand pump in the new country of South Sudan to bring the first fresh, clean water to a village. Girls & women will no longer have to walk miles each day to get water they need.
