Story
If Chris Moyles can do it so can I
That was before i read that mount Kilimanjaro is the highest free standing mountain in the world at an altitude of 5895 meters!!!!!
Difficulty: VERY CHALLENGING
However unlike Chris Moyles who had many a celebrity keeping spirits up I will be joined by four fellow fund raising equally gullible gents from the electrical industry in Nottingham. With the backing of ERF electrical i have been given this once in a lifetime opportunity of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with the aim of raising as much money as possible for our selected charities (all the money I raise will go direct to the charity).
My goal is to raise as much money as possible on this incredible journey and i would like to invite you to be part of this experience not by carrying my rucksack (though your more than welcome) but by sponsoring me.
I am in need of sponsors who can support me per meter or by making a donation to my chosen charity which is the British Lung Foundation, specifically for pulmonary fibrosis which my mum was diagnosed with.
Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is diagnosed in around 4500 people in the UK every year. About half of those people die within three years as a result. Currently there is no treatment for the disease and no way of predicting how quickly it will progress in individual patients. All money raised will go to help research into the illness that currently very little is known.
