I picked Maggie's centre as my nominated charity because I know they do good work. When mum was diagnosed with cancer we were offered the services of the Maggie's centre but mum and the family didn't feel the need to use it.

However, other patients on the same ward as mum at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh did and they said how wonderful Maggie's was at supporting them and assisting them during their time of need.
