Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.
Anyone that knows me and my family will be aware of why I am fundraising for The Childrens Trust.
In October 2021, my 10 year old daughter suffered a bleed on the brain caused by arteriovenous malformation, a birth defect that erupted suddenly in the middle of the night. Maddie was rushed to Addenbrookes hospital where she underwent three surgeries on her brain to remove the affected arteries. Maddie spent 6 weeks in hospital recovering from her surgeries, before being referred to The Childrens Trust rehabilitation hospital in Tadworth where her recovery continued.
The staff at the Childrens Trust were amazing and with their help and support Maddie progressed so much that after a short stay she was able to come home and spend Christmas with her family.
Maddie is a very strong, determined girl and we feel so very lucky that we were given the opportunity for her to receive the care at Tadworth and with the support of the staff there, family and friends and of course a lot of hard work from Maddie we are so proud to say that she is on her way to making a full recovery!
We can’t thank the Childrens Trust enough for everything that they have done for us as a family to help us through this terrible time. Raising funds for this charity will mean that they can continue to help and support other families and children with brain injuries.
Thank you for your support
