Story
Hi there,
Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported me and donated to Bowel Cancer UK. I have found it extremely encouraging.
I took part in the triathlon on the 6th June 2010. It was a fantastic day, and a great experience. I was pleased to complete the course in 1 hour 31 mins and 30 secs.
Thanks again to all of you.
James

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you may be aware I am competing in the Blenheim Palace Sprint Triathlon on 6th June 2010. I signed up to take part in the triathlon a while ago, as a personal challenge to myself following an ankle operation in August 2009.
However, since signing up, my father-in-law was diagnosed with bowel cancer, and has recently undergone a major operation. This operation is similar to that which was undergone nine years earlier for my mother-in-law.
As with a lot of cancers, this type of operation would not be possible if it was not for the excellent research and awareness that is carried out by companies such as Bowel Cancer UK. Bowel Cancer UK aims to save lives by raising awareness of bowel cancer, campaigning for best treatment and care and providing practical support and advice. For information on Bowel Cancer UK please go to http://www.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/
Therefore I have decided to see if I can raise money for Bowel Cancer UK by competing in this triathlon on their behalf. If you would like to join me in supporting the work that they do, please do sponsor me.
At this stage, I have not set myself a target amount to be raised, but anything that is donated will be gratefully received.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Many thanks
James
