Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In February this year our world turned upside down when our 13 year old son passed away on the critical care ward at Sheffield Children's Hospital, following a tragic accident.
Aidan was full of life, a happy, boisterous, cheeky, loving and caring boy, with the world at his feet. He enjoyed spending time with his family & friends, playing x-box, watching films, going to Hillsborough to watch Sheffield Wednesday play with me, swimming and being goalie for his u14 junior football team. He loved family, his sister Leah & his younger cousins who all idolised him. He loved life.
We have been placed in a situation we never expected but one that could so easily happen to anyone. Life is very precious and should not be taken lightly or for granted.
By helping the Doctors and Nurses at Sheffield Children's Hospital we are hoping to give something back to say thank you on behalf of Aidan for their wonderful care of us all and also to help save other children in his memory too.
Running is my personal journey and my bit towards our ongoing fundraising total. I started running a couple of years ago to improve fitness and health. I completed the Leicester half marathon 2014 and both Aidan & Dad were there that time to see me cross the line. Unfortunately since then injuries have prevented me from entering races again. I would like to thank Jenny & Helen, physios at Meadowhead Physiotherapy who have been treating me to ensure I am fit to run for Aidan's fund in September.
I am proud of both my sisters Sarah & Sally for running along side me this time, for their first time in memory of their nephew.
I would be so grateful if you would like to sponsor me and thank you so much in advance for your support.
