Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In early 2018, I plan to set off on a little expedition...
Some background - In May 2017 I did a 500km version of the West coast of England to East coast of England cycle ride to fund raise for the Samaritan's. Having thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of the trip, and being at a point in my life where the opportunity suits me, I've decided to do something a little more challenging and maybe even slightly insane!
In January 2018, I plan to leave my home town of Whitby, on my bike, and simply keep cycling until I end up where I started. In terms of time frame, I will not be breaking any world records... I have no clue how long it will take me and don't think a time limit suits this sort of trip.
Since this trip will hopefully become somewhat of a milestone in my life I thought it would be irresponsible to not put a cause to the trip. Having previously fund raised for the Samaritan's, and having personally used their services when experiencing my own mental health struggles, it was the only possible choice of charity. I lost my dad to suicide in 2013, he had struggled with his mental health, and saw no other solution than to end his own life. Samaritan's provide help to those who cannot see a solution. Samaritan's help dads, mums, brothers, sisters and everybody else in between. And if they can help one more person from ending their life as a result of my fund raising, then it will have been worthwhile.
Anyway, if you would like to donate then thank you very much! If not, I would greatly appreciate you sharing my page on social media, or just tell one person about it, that'd be great!
Or if you would like to just see some pretty pictures from around the world, then feel free to follow my Instagram page, the_perpetual_horizon, where I will post updates about my trip, from preparation to updates along the way!
Thanks :)
