Story

As a proud veteran, I feel the need once again to try to raise some money while doing another crazy event. This one though is a mile stone for me,  its just a few days before my 50th Birthday.

The race is 230km with 10,000 meters of climbing through the beaches and rain forests of Central America - Costa Rica and though the stunning national parks on the Pacific Coast. I would imagine all sorts of creepy crawlies, but that's not something that I will do any research on.

The timing of the race couldn't be worse, early February,  just out of the British winter and then out to the hot and humid climate of Costa Rica - each day running to the camp for the night.

By all accounts, its going to be a very brutal race, Just watch the video above!

I'm raising money for  SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, has been providing lifelong support to our Forces and their families since 1885. Last year our teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 79,500 people in need, from Second World War veterans to young men and women who have served in more recent conflicts, and their families.

I know we are in a cost of living crisis and times are tough, so it been a very tough decision to decide to raise money or not, But the charities still need your help, and the bonus with SSAFA is that my company will charity match. So every donation matters.

thank you.
