Any donation you give will benefit the Waltham Forest Samaritans, which provides confidential emotional support to people in severe distress and/or risk of suicide. The branch serves large swathes of East London, including some of the most deprived communities in the UK. Last year volunteers supported over 23,000 people. 

The branch has just had its core funding from the Waltham Forrest Council cut, making it uncertain whether it will still be around next year and dependent on these kind of fundraising initiatives. Run on a shoestring budget of just over £20,000 annually, and supported by over 80 volunteers, small donations can make a huge difference.
