Story

I’ve kept this under wraps for a while now, as I wasn’t totally confident that it was going ahead. HOWEVER, it is. So in a moment of panic, I threw my boots in my bag, along with an Aeropress and a jacket, knocked up this JustGiving page and hit the road.

Next week, I and a small team of legends will be attempting to submit Gran Paradiso, a 4,000m in the gorgeous Italian Alps. If you’re thinking, “Pwoar, brag much Jake? Nice for some.” Then don’t panic!

I’ll be doing it for two awesome charities, like top tier charities. Charity number one is M2M, founded by former professional rugby player Ed Jackson, his wife, Lois Jackson, and good mate Olly Barkley, a former rugby player for England. They specialise in a variety of issues, covering mental health support and disability support. Their story is too crazy to try and sum up in this post, so head over to www.millimetres2mountains.org to find out more!

Charity number two for none other than ourselves at GTBAL, as you most likely know, we provide completely free and easy support and counselling to our community. We’ve recently brought our counselling online and it’s totally blown up, so it would be awesome to raise a few quid, and fund a few sessions!

So here we go, let’s hit the trails! Make sure you keep an eye on the GTBAL and M2M Instagram stories to keep up to date!
