Story
Following on from the success of last year's '10kini' run in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice Trust, we thought we'd make a whole week of it, with the return of our ever popular 10k mankini run- much to the delight of our charity partners, but the dismay of the general public of Birmingham.
Acorns is a midlands based charity, which looks after thousands of children with complex and life threatening illnesses, as well as provides support for their families. This year alone, they have provided support to 2,430 children and their families- and this number is only going to grow. As they celebrate their 30th year of supporting the wider community, we want to make this year's fundraising take even bigger than last year.
Last year we managed in excess of £2k, and we'd like to beat that this year- we'll slowly keep creeping up our target as you guys help us out. Keep an eye on our facebook and twitter feeds for more information on events we have coming up, and for your live stream and photos to see your main event.
Any donation, however large or small is most welcomed. In cases like Acorns, every penny truly does count. Should you have any questions in regards to our fundraising, please don't hesitate to contact any of us for a letter of authorisation, alternatively contact clarkelf@aston.ac.uk.
Thank you in advance for all your support.
