Story
1 in 4 strokes happen to people of working age or younger - sometimes MUCH younger!
Stroke is the single biggest cause of disability.
There are of course brilliant Stroke support/advice/information charities in the UK, and Different Strokes is dedicated to younger stroke survivors.
Different Strokes provides active peer support through information, advice and rehabilitation services.
The benefit of DS's work on my Physical and Mental Health has been indescribable.
My stroke happened in March 2021, and this is my way of giving something back to an organisation, staff, volunteers, and members without whom my life would not be as great as it is - Limps, Pains, Wobbles, Fogs, Dullness, Fatigues and all that notwithstanding!
