Story
I'm taking part in the WaterAid Mountain Challenge 2016 - as we aim to put two teams on top of each of the Lake District’s 214 Wainwrights.
My last hike was in Edinburgh, Scotland (as shown above), with a distance of 4.75km (3 miles) and a 279m ascent. Now for a new and bigger challenge! What better way to go Lake District than for a good cause to help the less fortunate
I will be taking on a colossal route 3 times harder than my previous hike that will be West Kentmere, bagging 3 Wainwrights: Yoke, Ill Bell and Frostwick. The route is a total distance of 14km (8.7 miles) with a staggering ascent of 857m, where we reach the summit to spectacular views. Not as easy as it sounds, especially when the estimated time it takes to do this is 5 hours and 30 minutes. Hoping my legs are still functioning by the end of the hike.
So help support this event and charity, even if its a pound every little matters.
