Yes as some of you may be aware , I am boldly going where no Pole has gone before! I'm running the 2008 Flora London Marathon.

I am running my first (and almost certainly last) marathon to raise money for theROYAL FREE DEPARTMENT OF NEUROSURGERY RESEARCH AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND. Charity Registration No 1060924 Its aim is to purchase equipment and to support research in the treatment of Brain Tumours and Spinal conditions.

The Department of Neurosurgery at the Royal Free provides emergency and elective brain and spinal surgery for a population of over 2 million people in North London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and across the Southeast.  The Neurosurgery Development Fund Aims to improve the care of Neurosurgical patients
