Story
For the first time we have dementia in my family with my sweet grandmother. It’s heart breaking to hear she can’t recognise her own family at times. With my job I come across Dementia regularly but the impact you feel when it comes into your family is devastating. The cause has become closer to my heart. This is for you Beji.
With the push and support of my work colleagues it has encouraged me to take part in an event rather than just donating. I feel super excited.
I would appreciate all contributions big or small. Thank you
I'm walking 31 miles in May to support families facing dementia. Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimers disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.* Share your personal story, let your sponsors know why you have chosen to support Dementia UK by taking part in the Walk 31 Miles in May challenge.
